No, as Diaspora is not using the ActivityPub standard and also not planning to switch to it.
I think there is a plugin which enables activitypub integration
do you have a source for this. i cant find something about a possibilitie to bridge dispora to activitypub? just for zot (used by hubzilla) to AP and diaspora

Friendica integrates both with Diaspora and ActivityPub.
hubzilla also. is the new project from friendica developer
