Linuxbrew makes it even better as you can install rootless podman which goes great with distrobox.
I still have to enable root access so I can setuid and gid mapping. I probably won’t figure out a workaround until the next update wipes the configs. I’m sure theres a way to do it.
I was surprised to see how hackable it is. Flatpak especially comes in clutch if you don’t want to disable SteamOS read only root setting.
