For me it was Jeff Kinney. I was meeting a different author I love, but there wasn’t enough room downstairs and we had to go up. Turns out that’s exactly where Jeff Kinney works! He’s the author who got me into reading so I thought that was so cool

‘Having met’ is a bit of a stretch, but I sat right behind Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden on a flight from Germany to Stockholm. They had cleared the 2 rows just for her and I sat exactly behind her. I could have reached out and touched her head. It was kinda nice because it showed how the Swedish royal family tries to be relatively normal.

I also met Evangeline Lilly at the Honolulu Marathon in 2005 (so during the height of Lost fame) and had a brief chat, and got a photo with her. I remember her being prettier IRL than on TV.

That’s nice. Besides clearing the two rows part for obvious reasons, was it business class, first class, or coach?

that would have been business class. though this was already in the days when there was effectively no difference anymore on inner european, other than sitting in the first rows.
come to think of it. I guess that is what they did. they booked the entire business class for her. and I guess I was the first passenger in economy. this was a little over a decade ago.

Yeah, that makes sense. Definitely beats flying private jet in the eyes of the public.
