Air traffic controllers in the US have been advised to take 26-minute naps, after a string of episodes involving workers falling asleep. So is 26 minutes the ideal length of time for a nap?

No sleep

i envy ppl who can just take a 30 minute nap just in the middle of the day, i would just spend this whole time failing to try to fall asleep 🤷‍♀️

This checks out, I need about 3 naps to perform 100%

This is equivalent to rebooting your computer if it’s starting to lag.

26 mins seems needlessly specific (and neither does the article claim that there’s a consensus on this point) but overall allowing and even promoting people to take naps during shift is certainly positive.

Some concise people might struggle with a slovenly nap unless it has such definition. I think its specified like this to appeal to the target audience.

Too bad capitalism creates so much anxiety that you’ll never be able to get to actually nap even if you try.

But how should this work? Like am I supposed to sleep my 7 hours night sleep and then a nap?
