Even the first tweet is logically flawed. One of the extremes could be far out from what the general population agrees with. And even what the general population agrees with is not necessarily the smartest thing in the world, so might still not earn them much trust.

So when you have (only) two democratic parties in the system, you might expect it to be
Extreme Left ______________________ Left Party ______ Center ______ Right Party ______________________ Extreme Right
But the reality is the Left Party can get way more votes by being closer to the Right Party. It’s not like Leftists are going to vote anything but Left, right?
