    Call me again when they have an actually working prototype next year as they claim. Designs for these thorium reactors have existed since the 1940ties. But I am cautiously optimistic.

    This isn’t news, NaH (Molten Salts) reactors are a thing too. Requiring no water either to keep things cooled (however they can be combined in order to turn traditional steam turbines making it a more “drop in” replacement for coal powered plants).
