You can root GrapheneOS, no problem. Its just not as secure anymore and the bootloader cant be locked, banking apps will not work anymore, Android Attestation, Safetynet etc

If Facebook messenger is the comparison, Deltachat is awesome. Its very bloated though if you use it for email too. Also for some reason it doesnt delete messages from the server which is really annoying
Yes I use it on Amd / Intel too
The project in general is huge. Checkout secureblue or hyprgreen, these all use ublue as base.
Really, ublue made Fedora more like Ubuntu with all the variants. Just a looot more modern.
Other thing: so many Laptops dont get updates anymore. I wonder if we could squeeze one out for the Logofail vulnerability
Best comment. This solves two cases at once.
They disappear from launchers which is very bad UX
Looks cool! But is there no option to have two sidebars and not just the bookmarks toolbar?
Thanks! Still not what I need. Way too big and again for all bookmarks, not only a few icons
Ublue-nvidia. Just works
SimpleX
But as alternative to FB messenger?? Literally anything, switch as fast as you can!
Things are going in the right directions, somewhere.
But its far from the security of a Google Pixel with GrapheneOS.
I am not really leaving my device locked haha, or if, then I would also always have the work profile locked. Also I dont trust Androids init system, apps just randomly run in the background and there still is no way to completely prevent that. So I keep them in the work profile
True, btw I am on Windows 10 Chrome 😉
Important point missing, and the reason to always avoid using “Apps”.
The email is not the only identifier, but your Device ID / app ID.
This will stay the same probably, and the app will always send the same device ID to these servers, so no way this is possible.
You could try something like an android emulator though, like Waydroid, and reinstall it always.
Nokia 7plus back then. Great hardware, nice materials. Still working great but nearly no software updates. An indian guy develops LineageOS for Nokia phones though
Thanks, I use Workprofile for crap apps, but if I wouldnt need those this would be a good idea!
Ok will see if I can copy those elements to normal Firefox. No way I am using some strange 3rd Party firefox mod XD
No its a toolbox (not the program) based on Fedora, with minor changes and improvements.
This is a great way to package stuff, as it means changes are done fully automated and scalable.
Ublue has maaany images, for more Desktops than Fedora officially supports (so they wont be as stable but they are there), including different kmods and rules for Asus, Framework, Surface, with or without NVIDIA drivers.
There are other projects using ublues tooling, like Secureblue, which is now in a well working state.
So its not only good for Nvidia but the shitty mess that is kernel modules and proprietary drivers, while being on a recent distro, can be tamed best in ostree and immutable snapshots.
If an update fails, you wont get it. And even if, you will have a rollback image that you can select on boot.
