Ads in podcasts are dynamically inserted right when you download them, or while you’re streaming, so I don’t think that’s possible. Not everyone is going to get the same ad. It’ll give you an ad depending on your location sometimes.

Wow. 30 times in 3 years? I wonder if that’s specific packages or hardware you had. I had 5 computers (2 desktops, 3 laptops) running Manjaro for so many years, and still haven’t had a single system break. Including using a lot of AUR packages.
Though last year, I’ve moved all of my computers to Arch, Debian, and Proxmox. Arch mainly because I wanted to fully configure my systems more.
I have my keypass file synced on multiple devices locked with a strong password and a keyfile. So if I lose my phone, I still have access to my file on another device. All of my devices are encrypted too.
I mean… These are what came up searching “Sodastream West Bank”
“In October 2015, under growing pressure from activists of the Palestinian-led BDS movement, SodaStream closed its facility in Mishor Adumim and relocated it to the town of Lehavim in Israel proper.”
In the Code Pink page, if you click on Boycott Sodastream News, there is nothing newer than 2014.
I don’t believe so I googled before posting it to be sure and restricted my search to the last year.
Your issue was restricting your search to last year, when there has been a lot of articles about this before then.
Didn’t they close their West Bank factory back in 2015?
That boycott page must be outdated
For my main computers, I’ve moved them all to Arch from Manjaro & EndeavorOS within the past 4 years. Though been meaning to try OpenSUSE Tumbleweed eventually. Haven’t used OpenSUSE in over 10 years.
I have a laptop running Proxmox for my servers, which is debian-based but uses a modified Ubuntu LTS kernel. Great to use to try out other distros in VMs as well.
Not saying anything bad about EndeavourOS, because it’s great, but:
All of the Arch goodness, but with an easy installer that handles the DE too.
Arch has a guided TUI installer included in it’s ISO that does this too.
Google maps is tough lol
You could try to see if you’d like Magic Earth. It’s proprietary, but has a good privacy policy, uses Open Street Maps, and has traffic data.
Though if you’re dependent on Google Maps for reviews and photos of places, then it’s much harder to replace. Though I guess you could just use the website to look that up.
For home, I usually buy picanha steak and cook it in my carbon steel pan. I like to render the fat to cook the steak in it’s own fat.
And it looks like Mastodon only even got full-text search very recently, like, last couple months.
Also, this only works if the user opts in to being able to be searched/indexed. It makes it much harder to find content. If you’re looking for more content from a hashtag, you’ll only see people who knew to opt in
On Twitter, anyone’s content can be searched as long as they are not private. If you search a hashtag, you’ll see every public post that uses that hashtag.
Another annoying thing with Mastodon is that you have to go to the person’s instance to fully check their profile. Annoying when you’re using a Mastodon app, then it makes you open a web browser to go to that person’s instance
Guess that depends on where you live
I prefer either physical or audiobooks. I seem to have a hard time concentrating and reading books digitally.
Might be better than Being John Malkovich
Might be good to post on !unixporn@lemmy.ml, the offshoot of /r/unixporn on Reddit. Always need more people posting there! :)
I used to use !fountainpens@wayfarershaven.eu but unfortunately they shut down a few days ago.
Titan Quest is pretty great with mods
Yes, though some of those are dynamically inserted as well.
I sometimes watch years old podcast episodes, and it’ll insert a pre-recorded current day ad where the host is doing it. And when I listen to the episode months later, the ads change again sometimes, but it is still the host doing it.
Also, maybe it’s just the podcasts I listen to, but all podcasts I listen to seems to always be the host doing the ad.
