Maybe it’s for kids. I could see a kid messing with the chair for a long time and breaking it. Still, that kind of feature is kind of superfluous and should be optional.

but why
Stress on the motor will likely cause it to overheat or break. That’s probably all.
Gee, if only there was a way to solve this… Something that every other car manufacturer has figured out.
