    My university is going to set up a Mattermost service because every major and student club is using Discord, even some classes are using it, which is a shame. What also really bothers me is that since the crisis began a year ago, we’re still using Blackboard Collaborate which is proprietary, I don’t see why we don’t use BigBlueButton

    The university I work at was full Foss until 3 years ago. I liked that plus it is literally called “université libre”.

    Last week they forced the last of us from their email to outlook.

    It was cheaper to go full Micro$hit than to scale the email service.

    Owncloud is still running but good luck getting someone to use it when they have that sweet sweet onedrive integration …

    You need leadership that understand the long term impact of those issues over the yearly bill.
