I think Tumblr has a pretty unique style in terms of how it works. Even though it’s completely centralised, it already almost feels like it’s federated. So is there an actual fediverse platform that’s similar to it?
People at Tumblr are musing about adding ActivityPub support to federate. See this thread (which starts about adding IndieWeb support). @chaosexanima@tech.lgbt works at Tumblr and is calling out in this toot for people to work on IndieWeb and maybe Fediverse support (that was May 2022).
Tumblr allows you to customize the HTML of your page, so even though you’re part of a larger network, you can really make it your own. At least, I assume that’s what OP means…
