I cannot speak about the desktop edition but on mobile you have mesh network advantage and can use local wifi and bluetooth conections to send messages both groupal and individual, share RSS blog posts and participate in a forum.
Only Forum and RSS blogs are getting advantage of the mesh network.
Individual chats are direct and groupal chat needs the creator of the group to be connected.
Yes I had the opportunity to see it when they created the beta for mobile, but I don’t see how this is related to what I wrote.
Is it possible that you are unable to contribute to this conversation in a constructive way and you’re just trying to show that everyone else except you is wrong?
I was justifying why I mentioned Briar in mobile since your main comment was about “Briar” itself and not Briar desktop.
Since Briar has mobile users as main class citizens by now and the rest of your references doesn’t make me guess that you were speaking about desktop (RetroShare being the key point for being on mobile too) I replied thinking in Briar as it came initially.
Briar doesn’t need internet connection.

I know about all this for the mobile version, I have used Briar before

RetroShare has mobile version on F-Droid :^)

Eh?
Why you turned yourself in a rude way?
