We’re at 0.9.9 already and the site seems pretty well developed. What are the devs working to add before 1.0?
We’re so far off from that, and the issues are piling up at a much faster rate than 2 developers can finish them.
There is still a lot of work to do. Some of the main tasks are improved moderation tools, support for different languages, and federation with other projects. We definitely cant reach 1.0 before those are done. And then we also have to make sure that the API and ActivityPub can be backwards compatible in the long term.

For example even if I am not subscribed to a community it would be interesting to see if discussions take place at a different community it was cross-posted to. This could maybe be shown by adding the number of comments to the link in brackets.
