50 year old streetcars and subways have figures out how to safely close automatic doors without cutting off fingers. There is no excuse for Mercedes here.

Tbf that’s how the system works as far as I’m aware. You start off going for as much as you possibly can and the defense will try and bring it down and make a deal.

There’s always a chance that doors can chop off various body parts – soft-close doors are only great as long as they work
