I think it really needs some machine learning synergy on the cloud-based blockchain.

I’ll believe this is real when there are artificial gills like the ones the jedi use to breath underwater. Otherwise it’s probably just a filter, same as the face masks.

I live in the London area. Driving out to the mountains and just breathing fresh air is one of my favourite things.

This, you dont know how much you miss good air untill you get it again.

I think this product is pretty legit, I was actually gathering concept images and starting to think about something like this a few years ago. I’ve moved to a rural wilderness since then and mothballed the idea.

This is why I don’t understand people in Los Angeles being in such a hurry to unmask. I’ve always worn masks when cycling and now I think I will always do it whenever outside. The air so so polluted it feels like a lungful of ash without a mask.

I feel like the only place most people would feel comfortable wearing a product that looks like this would be home, but then since they’re home… they probably wouldn’t care to wear a mask or facial air purifier like this.

Beyond that, the filtration isn’t NIOSH-approved so it just seems like the security theater equivalent of PPE?

Yup. It blows my mind how beards haven’t been a major point of discussion in the last 2 years in terms of mask efficacy being reduced considerably when one has a beard.

I’ll buy them when they do them right, with a hermetically closed helmet and a mouth opening for an HEPA filter. But it has to look like this

    Just joking

Reminds me when sound cards had integrated firewire ports and game ports and stuff, just random unrelated things bundled in them.
