minus-squareEphera@lemmy.mllinkfedilinkarrow-up1·edit-23 years agoPersonally, it’s to some degree idealistic – I care less to support software when it supports Microsoft – but to some degree also a matter of privacy: Don’t want to go through Microsoft’s tracking every time I read up on that software. Not going to create an account there, so can’t file bug reports. If I want to tweak some of the code, I can’t contribute that.
It seams really cool and I agree with the problemas that websites have. The only negative thing that it has its hat it’s en github.
Why is that a problem? How does software hosted on github differ from software hosted elsewhere?
