The expansions of US and China are different, but this isn’t 1914, noone cares about the land that much anymore. Both fight for spheres of economic and political influence. And recent annexation of HK was not in the slightest supported by HK. Stop using the word expansionist, its meaning has changed in the past 100 years. As for Leninism, it only kind of existed for three years- 1920-1923. The rest, as they say, is history.
