First of all sorry for saying that cursed name, but a school teacher asked me to install it on her laptop, i had no idea how to but after following some tutorials online, it displays this error:

Windows couldn’t open C:\Source\install.wim

I would be very grateful for your help

That is indeed correct and thanks for asking of me! :) Indeed, I believe Linux USUALLY ships with customizations for their interfaces. On Linux Mint, I can change the themeing, color of folders, display settings and so forth. Add on top that Linux Mint ships with good accessibility settings (that’s normally literally hundreds otherwise/user) it’s a pretty significant thing to me.

The only thing that gets me that I have to restart the interface (Desktop Environment) every time I goes into Minetest full screen. Since i need to switch off the accessibility settings. Since the game already comes with MANY scaling options so I can still plays it provided it’s also in full screen.

Yo, you have those issues in life? How do you live with that? Is it partial blindness (I assume)?

I practice MMA and have been trying to learn back kick recently, and with my full sight and senses, I am having inaccuracy at hitting target. I cannot imagine daily life without my hawk eye sight.

Thank you very much for asking of me and caring to be of understanding of me. :) That is indeed correct, I am DeafBlind meaning as you guessed significant lack of vision as well as hearing. My biggest concerns are actually being able to be involved in finding people and possibly comes something of it. Which is why up until I created my deafblindminetestgaming.com site. I been having issues with this because I lost my most involved forum I was in to supar staffing of helping me with two concerning reports. As well as Discord giving me such pains with my account because it’s being “comprised” regardless of the passwords I use. So I had to stop using it as their 2FA is a piece of trash ONLY allowing smartphones. Which doesn’t works for me. :(

So yea a LOT had happened the first half of the year and still trying to “get back up to speed” to this very day.

Before I used to assume the DB in your name meant Dragon Ball.

Discord indeed has issues, and it is simply running well because the lowest common denominator userbase just accepts whatever is thrown at them. I use Discord, and it is not the best, but simply has custom emojis and granular moderation for free as selling point.

I hope you can get back, and atleast have a backup plan setup now for your posts and forum/server comms.

You have a server, and you build these Minecraft style maps and stuff. I feel legitimately dumber and weaker, with my perfect sight and senses, and I must say you motivate me to do better in life. o7

Aww thank you very much, you been a wonderful person to talk to seeing as you really do appreciate all I been doing and for who I am inside. :) Really hope indeed that the Minetest kicks up some steam so I may be able to make something of it. :)

That would probably not worked, I tried desktop applications on my machine and it just won’t work. Even when properly configured to Discord and me providing the secret. My assumptions that Discord must checks behind the scenes if it coming from a mobile device or not. And if it “real”.

Several months ago there was a documentary about full DeafBlind people and a woman who finished a degree and wrote some book in that state in middle or begining of the XX century.

It didn’t explain so much about how to deal with her issues but I remember a conference part where she put two fingers around the mouth of the main speaker to be able to understand what was she saying.

Then, used some kind of sign language to speak. I didn’t watch the rest.

It would be hard to understand for general users how larger text, magnifier tool, large buttons and colour blocks et al work, but for folks with poor sight, it is so essential. Accessibility should be worked on a lot, but all the stupid focus there is, is on dumb voice assistants. Voice is never going to allow to do everything on a computing device.

Agree entirely! In my opinion displays, feed backs and so forth should be first THEN voice assistant for those who truly do need this. It’s not the best accessible option in the “toolbox” but some people really can’t see a dan thing.
