Ex on lemmygrad, lemmy.ca, feddit.de.
Lemmy.ml has so much more content, it’s kinda centralizing. Same problem matrix.org has too.
At least its centralizing because users are congregating here and not because it’s the only option.
I’d like an instance for people with autism. I would try to set it up, but even if I had the money, I don’t work a job yet, and I’m new to server administration.

The latter can help you acheive the former.
Get a cheap VPS under 3 usd /month. There’s a few lemmy install guides out there for newbies
Good point. I’m only 17, but I could setup a donation site later on.
there’s !steamdeck@sopuli.xyz which is a steam deck comm
!latestagecapitalism@lemmygrad.ml is a good and pretty active leftist comm on lemmygrad.ml that isn’t hardcore communism if that isn’t your style.
I hope more english lemmy instances come out too because at this point the biggest limitation for me isn’t a lack of offsite comm exploration, there just aren’t a lot of english comms in other instances with any number of users. Even with that though I do wish there was a way to explore comms on other instances instead of having to go out of my way to that instance and look for interesting comms.
I don’t think its an issue that lots of the traffic is on Lemmy.ml it will just take a while for communities to gel and move to more specialised instances.
But hey, how fricken cool that we have those options when we want?!
