uMatrix is made by the same guy I think, and it offers more fine-grain control which is worth it if you take the time to learn it.
With Newpipe + Stealth + Pirating all of my entertainment, I haven’t seen an add in a while.

Agree, but uMatrix is discontinued since years. On Android I use Blokada, it block ads not only online, but also in all installed apps.
I’ve somehow Nevers heard of that app.

I’m running adaway + afwall but not everyone device has root.
I didn’t know that Blokada trcks, thanks for the advice. However, it doesn’t bother me that the VPN is paid, all good VPNs are, since not all servers are free. On the PC I use ProtonVPN, which is also OpenSource and paid, although it has a free version, but limited.
