They are our comrades
I don’t visit hexbear.net very often, but they seem like nice people. I think they have a much more active and fun community than Lemmy/Lemmygrad at the moment, but the website is based on a pretty old version of Lemmy (v0.8) and that’s why takes longer to load content, although they have implemented cool stuff, like stickers and the pronouns in tags. In general, the first impression is good, but I have never interacted with hexbear users :')
I don’t visit the site on a regular basis, but seems cool. Hopefully when this has went through we can have federation with them.
it’s a pretty chill community that’s been slowly growing even on a little forum mostly disconnected from everything else. I hope they can eventually federate with lemmy again since it’s a lot more active than any of the lemmy instances right now.
Slightly less annoying
thenthan lemmygrad users I guess? :pWhy people use “then” instead of “than” ?
Assuming you are actually asking a question - because they sound the same and who cares when you’re just typing a quick response in what might not be your first language.
English it is not my first language and when people commit some of these things I get confused.
Yep, that’s why. Native english speakers in my part of the world even have trouble remembering the difference because ‘than’ is actually pronounced the same as ‘then’ in normal conversation. It is a common thing for people to call others out for as an easy ‘win’ on the internet, so sorry if my tone was defensive.
I understand. However, I didn’t downvote you. 😕
I’m not worried about a couple of down votes, but thanks. I did up vote yours in case other people have the same question.
Which Lemmygrad users do you find annoying?
Basically all, as they are people that self-selected themselves into a ML circlejerk bubble (which holds true despite federation and most of them joined when federation wasn’t working yet).
Hmm, I don’t know, I haven’t had any problems with them and they seem to me to be extremely intelligent users and open to dialogue. Have they ever bothered you or anything like that?
