Clever little offset (it’s not an offset) of bird between top two frames. This was crafted.

Showerthoughts@lemmy.world•If you think meme culture and dopamine driven media will be mainstream forever youre just plain wrong. Ive seen an entire generation reject smoking and quitting nicotine is an insane feat of strength.
5·6 days agoLoads of people have given up smoking through sheer willpower. Some people just didn’t start smoking straight away in the morning, so the giving up isn’t a big deal to them.
Following a couple of years starting from those COVID days sitting for a morning smoke on the balcony, I gave up smoking by vaping, and gave up vaping via a change in scenery, change in routine and you know, just by being on holiday. At least two times.
When I got back, I got whacked by what I call triggers…a huge number of them nearly every hour. Previously I gave in to these, but I’ve learned the stupid way that nicotine psychology is madly powerful, and once you start to recognise you’re just getting triggered for the hundredth time, you just get on with it.
Nicotine is pretty demonic when you think about it.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•How many tabs do you have open on your phone/laptop right now?
3·17 days agoAnd I may have god knows how many inactive tabs. Ha!
I suppose all stars visible to the human eye have got to be at most the order of magnitude of 1000 ly away.
Actually I am genuinely curious how much you could make.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•I know I sound like an incel, but is there any race that biracial women go with besides always being with white guys?
1·2 months agoIsn’t a larger proportion of the fathers of these women white men? It is pretty understandable.
A successful woman (who evidently has a high viewership on TikTok) likely had a father who ticked all the boxes. He could be a father of any race - I’ve met them all - but I’m assuming statistically due to economics and power (USA/Europe/Australia, etc.) there are quite a few white fathers of biracial women.
A woman making a preference for a type, or the personality (this is also cultural, I won’t say racial) of one of her parents who were her safe haven, nurtured her, and pushed her forward is of course, natural.

It’s a simulated brain, so not a real fly brain unless we live in a simulation, so maybe there’s no difference. Hmm…
