While I disagree with identifying the working class with ‘chav’, the origin of the word did start very much in classism and stereotyping (hence my deep disagreement with the term). A pretty good analysis in this article: https://eathealthy365.com/the-rise-and-fall-of-the-chav-in-british-culture/

The commenter said ‘soaking up benefits’, I don’t think the working class people would be looking like ‘chavs’ because many of them are going to and from work in uniform. Plus, you’re essentially equating all working class people with chavs? So walking into a Tescos, every member of staff is a chav?

Making coffee like a barista is infinitely more satisfying. A combined coffee machine: grinder and pressured hot water is bound to be cheaper than a fully automated one. You can push the grains down yourself, and make the coffee as strong or weak as you like.
As expected, ThinkPad. I have a Yoga X1, the stylus and touch works fine. But if you’re installing Linux take great care of to have copious amounts of swap or swapfile because ram is low.

Damn right! You don’t need therapy to disconnect from people, unless they were a focal part of your life.

I don’t judge beautiful smart people outwardly, but by their actions and behaviour. For example, beautiful and shrewd woman who rises to be a principal in a school, speaks loudly on the phone when a quiet accountant is talking to me, hangs out with her ‘friend’ (colleague) the majority of the time, proceeds to make a student drop a subject discreetly without informing the subject teacher, and attempts to make me cover a class with a ‘polite’ request that didn’t give the option of ‘No’. It’s only been one month!

Reminds me of an alias error in building a package on AUR. By 1am I was done looking for solutions. In the morning, lo and behold, an AUR update revealed a new package released at 3am prior to fix the alias error.
Depends on who you are as a person. I used to gravitate back to my exes so they broke it off and swore off communication. This is indeed one of my largest vices, and I am glad they nipped it in the bud.
Life is ever changing, they are out there as a person who is not entirely who they were before, so I needn’t run into them or be a part of their life again.

Isn’t that how public shared companies supposed to work? /s

Shame. Pale blue marble doesn’t roll off the tongue.

I’m using it on my laptop as a teacher. My gaming PC with steam is linux. I see improvements in performance every half year.
Had a student want to use it. I told him he needs to dual boot. Keep his options open. Then time will tell whether he will make the great leap.

Texting on a tiny keyboard on a phone requires much more visual attention than finding a button (which you can feel for anyway), and changing a radio station which you only need to listen for. A drink should also be okay if you’re not raising your head full tilt.
Edit: that said, eating is also a no-no; either because it is a resting/social activity which may reduce concentration, or because accidents happen while you’re eating and you’re going to get distracted wiping sauce off your clothes.

No account on reddit so it has a popup to make an account. More often than not, if you are not touching the close button accurately, touching any part of the screen immediately sends you to the signup page. Another reason why I barely touch that website anymore.

Being a non-American, zero clue. Seems he was more useful to the regime dead rather than alive.

I find it interesting you call it Jesuit programming.
Some of the greatest scientists from India were evidently religious but they were also extremely scientific. I guess monotheistic dogma does run counter to multifaceted scientific evidence.
That said, there’s still a lot of Christian scientists who do not discard of evidence. It’s just that OP is talking to the wrong people.
Reminds me of walking quite far and into the docklands area when my friends were visiting me for a night out at university.
I said something along the lines of ‘Why are we out here?’ and their reply was ‘We were following you.’ I replied I was following one of them, and then the reply was: ‘You fuckwit, we don’t know where your dorm is.’
Drinking does seem to ruin critical thinking.

Well well, isn’t that amazing /s
I’m going to take a shower now, brb when I get inspired.
I’m guessing it was just 50-100 pixels more on the bottom to include the artist. Hmm.
