I got downvoted on /r/linuxm*sterrace for saying that a prank like this was super unprofessional and unfunny.
If I’m using a rescue disk, I’m already stressed as fuck and in no mood for any pranks saying my computer is locked.
To be exact, I consider this exactly what I need in a stressful situation.
Fools in these cases may help to not start panicking.
Yes, I’m constantly paranoid about the United States of Spain charging me pesetas :/
It’s not that I think people will believe it, but if I was already stressed at the prospect of losing my Linux installation and potentially even my data, I’d be super pissed if I saw a gag like this, and certainly wouldn’t think it’s funny.
Bro I agree this is horrible.This is the worst prank
Pesetas
Jajajajajajajajaja
Laughs in spanish
^^;
I must say I really like the difference in votes there and here. It clearly says something.
I have to agree with you here. Easter eggs are fun, but I prefer the VSCode style santa hat to this
I agree with you. They should have put a message like: “Happy April Fool’s Day” or something like that to avoid worrying users :S
